BMW M5 down from production

BMW is officially ended production of the present generation of the BMW M5, designated as E60. That model was in production for five years. Accordingly, the fourth generation M5 is produced in total 20,548 units, as most of them are sedans.

Accordingly, however, are constructed units of 1025 BMW M5 Touring, as the station wagon was marketed in 2007.

E60 M5 comes with a 5-liter V10 gasoline engine providing 509 hp power and torque of 520 Nm. Combined with the SMG transmission, seven-or six-speed manual, the vehicle is capable of speeds up to 100 km / h for 4.2 seconds. And although in theory could lift M5 337 km / h, the maximum speed is electronically limited to 250 km / h.

Otherwise, from BMW will probably begin to modify its factory in Dingolfind, Germany, to prepare it for a proizvodstovoto F10 M5. The fifth generation of the M5 is expected to get 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, also used for the X5 M and X6 M. Perhaps it will be reconfigured so that it provides power of 570 hp and torque of 680 Nm.
